Happy Birthday, Toni!

Better late than never...

Here's a birthday card for my dear friend and neighbor Toni, who loves red (and flowers!) I think this Poppy Parade posie is just right.

Her birthday was a couple weeks ago, and she got the card that day, but I've been too busy to post since then.

So Glad we're friends is from (retired) Best Yet; birthday wishes from (retired) Wow Flowers. The flowers are PTI Flower Fusion mini #4; the white one is embossed. The little flower brads are some that Toni put in my Christmas stocking last year (or the year before!) And I don't think I could have gotten any more scallops on there if I tried!

And since I had so many red and white circles and scallops, I made a card for my sister Joyce, too, since red is also her favorite color (and because it made me think of her!)

Once again, I've used Fusion Flowers mini #4 (love that stamp!), as well as Upsy Daisy and (retired) Polka Dots and Paisley for the sentiment stamps.

I think the surprise of opening up a cute little card like this will bring her joy!

Scallops and circles

I find that scallops and circles together form a really pleasing combination, something that always makes me smile. Something about the symmetry of infinity, perhaps...

This will be a cheery little pick-me-up to receive in the mail, don't you think? It's the card I should have sent to my aunt but it wasn't yet created; I think she is probably still in rehab so I will send this card to her there.

I used A Flower for All Seasons and Linda's Copics to color the image. DSP and card stock is Regal Rose along with Pretty in Pink.

The sentiments are from Thoughts and Prayers (also borrowed! I am so lucky to have a stampin' friend to share with!)

I think my aunt will like the pretty pink combination - she had all boys...

I have another telescoping circles card that I made for my bff. I have had this friend image stamped and sitting around with a Groovy Guava circle since Groovy Guava was current! I kept picking it up and putting it down, never finishing it into a card that I wanted to make for Janice.

I should probably redo the middle circle to rebalance the flowers, but she won't care. Anyway, I think the scallops and circle telescoping card is the perfect fit for this image (and I still love Groovy Guava!)

I hope you're enjoying your long Memorial Day weekend - I am!
