Happy Hexagons

I had thought to enter the base of this card to the Stamper's First Aid challenge, since I was having trouble finishing it off.   I had so much fun making the background with Happy Hexagons and the hexagon background die; it was like making a pretty puzzle.  After a bit more effort, I completed it as you see below.

A little leaf die from Turning a New Leaf, Happy Birthday from Beautiful Butterflies and a seam binding rolled rose did the trick!

The inner sentiment is from Flower Fusion #9...

I still have to peruse all the offerings made by the Papertrey Ink design team to the Stamp-a-faire event Saturday, but I never would have participated if it wasn't for my dear friend, Linda, who connected me with PTI in the first place!  I joined Linda on Saturday for a bit of card making and challenge participation; here she is with some of her entries.  Good luck in the challenges, Linda, and thanks for your wonderful hospitality!

  1. Karen,

Your hexagon card came out really nice. I love the texture on your leaves. A really nice touch and I'll have to remember how pretty that sentiment goes in an oval frame. Beautiful. It was wonderful to see you Saturday. My how messy my craft table looks! It's a sure sign of some well loved rubber! Have a great week and I hope to see you again soon!
