Stars and stripes

On Friday I visited a friend who hasn't been feeling well for the past month or two. He lives on a lovely lake, and he was blue that he had to cancel his annual 4th of July party. I made him this card to cheer him up - inside the whole stamp reads "Just because I care".



I used Cherry Cobbler, Not Quite Navy, and Craft White for the stars and stripes, which are from a (long-retired) set called Old Glory; the sentiment (also retired) is from Best Yet.

He seemed pleased and touched when he opened the card, and by the time I left, some other friends were there and making a grocery list for all the fixins' - so I think the party is ON!
